삼성 갤럭시 S3 네오 (GT-I9300I) 안드로이드 4.4.4(킷켓) 업데이트

이번에는 ios 소식이 아닌, 안드로이드 소식으로 찾아뵙게 되었네요. 이 포스팅은 제가 특별히 애정을 많이 가지고있는 갤럭시S3의 소식입니다.

삼성의 공식적인 발표는 "국내판 갤럭시S3의 업데이트는 더이상 없다" 고 밝혀진바가 있는데, 갤럭시S3 네오의 안드로이드 4.4.4(킷켓) 업데이트 소식은 뜻밖의 희소식이네요. 이로써 국내 개발자들은 바빠지겠고, 머지않아 국내판 갤럭시S3 에도 킷켓이 포팅되겠네요.

또, 삼성전자가 갤럭시S3 라인업 디바이스인 갤럭시S3 네오에게 안드로이드버전 4.4.4(킷켓)을 먹여준것은 다른 기기에도 희망이 있다는 소식인데, 정말 희소식이라 기분이 좋습니다.

들리는 루머에 의하면, 9월중으로 갤럭시S3가 안드로이드 4.4.4(킷켓)으로 업데이트될 가능성이 있다는데, 그 가능성에 한발 더 다가선 느낌입니다.

현재 안드로이드버전 4.4.4(킷켓)으로 업데이트되는 갤럭시S3 네오의 빌드번호는  I9300IXXUBNH3 라고 합니다.

In a rather strange move, Samsung has pushed out the Android 4.4.4 update to the Galaxy S3 Neo before any other device in its lineup, before even the flagships like the Galaxy S5. The update is currently rolling out to the device in Kazakhstan with build number I9300IXXUBNH3; it should be available as an over-the-air download as well as through Kies, though advanced users can also grab the firmware from our firmware section to update manually. As for the changelog, we’re guessing there is nothing major to speak of, and the update should mostly include bug and security fixes that are a part and parcel of Android 4.4.4.

As always, keep in mind that the update will gradually roll out to more regions in the coming weeks. We’ll be sure to let you know when Samsung rolls out the update to other devices, and we will continue hoping that Samsung completes the Android 4.4.4 rollout for eligible devices well in time before Android L comes knocking.
